Schweppes Australia came out with this limited edition series of vintage themed bottles inspired by the history of the Schweppes brand. I love it! I hope they make it to the US.

Philippe Lechien

After seeing Philippe Lechien’s imagery of New York City for so long, it's nice to see his image of Paris. Oh, and if you want to know what images of NY I'm talking about, check this website. If you live in NY, you'll recognize them right away :)

Kinokuniya Bookstores

This store has a great selection of Japanese books, comics, toys, stationally goods, etc. It's a must for anyone interested in Japanese culture and it's located right across the street from Bryant Park. The image above is from a mural they have inside the store.

Sarah Preston

Based in United Kingdom, Sarah makes drawings for children's books, greetings cards and advertising campaigns. She makes some pretty cute button-nosed characters. See more of her work here.

Robert Bradford

Robert Bradford - Recycled Toy Sculptures
He creates life-size and larger-than-life sculptures of humans and animals from discarded plastic items, mainly toys but also other colorful plastic bits and pieces, such as combs and buttons, brushes and parts of clothes pegs.

New packaging for the eponymous tea brand from Steven Smith, the genius behind Tazo tea. Sandstrom Partners (who also designed the packaging for Tazo) created this packaging.

Ad of the Decade: Matthew Welch’s Apple iPod Silhouette Campaign

Judges weighed in and thousands of people voted for AdWeek’s “Best of 2000s,” recognizing the decade’s best in the marketing, media, and agency world. With nearly twice as many votes as the runner-up, the Apple iPod silhouette campaign was honored as the best Out-of-Home-Ad of the Decade. Around the World With the Bodoni Family

Written by graphic designer Teresa Monachino and printed by The Society of Revisionist Typographers, the 60-page limited edition book "Around The World With The Bodoni Family" cleverly takes a look at the centuries-old font by associating letters with places. Using the Bodoni typeface, Monachino illustrates a geographic location with each letter of the alphabet.

A sad loss...

David Levine, a painter and illustrator whose macro-headed, somberly expressive, astringently probing and hardly ever flattering caricatures of intellectuals and athletes, politicians and potentates were the visual trademark of The New York Review of Books for nearly half a century, died In Manhattan. He was 83 and lived in Brooklyn. Read his full story here.
